Applications to Abdominal Surgery

First time in the UK! Many people have abdominal surgeries each year and manual therapy is typically not included in their post-surgery care. This course teaches the language of abdominal surgery and hands-on skills to optimize function in the abdomen and trunk after digestive, pelvic, and bariatric surgeries. Learn to discuss, palpate, and treat the anatomical, physiological, and energetic aftermaths of abdominal surgery.  Observe and practice a complete treatment session including the intake interview, manual interventions, and post-treatment self-care. Grow your skills and attract a whole new category of clients!

Prerequisites:

  • At least 1 Love Your Guts Seminars 3-day training completed.  Certified Mayan Abdominal Massage, Chi Nei Tsang, or Structural Integration practitioners are also welcome to attend.
  • At least 10 case studies related to the abdomen completed.
  • Listen to 4-part Fundamentals of Abdominal Surgery lecture series prior to class. This teleseminar event is scheduled for early 2010 and will be ready for MP3 download by April of 2010
